Sambuc 1
An Arab dhow called a Sambuk. (The accent is on the 2nd syllable).
These were typical dhows of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Arabia.
16th century Caravels copied the lateen sail rig, an Arab invention.
The wings on the stern are copied from Caravels.
This model represents a boat circa 1900.
